Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and Celtic reportedly want to bring Harry Wilson to the Scottish Premiership.
It looks like Celtic and Rangers are going head-to-head for the signing of Harry Wilson this summer.
The Hoops have recently seen a bid knocked back by Liverpool [The Record] for the 21-year-old, who is also interesting Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, according to the same publication.
Both Old Firm outfits have exciting projects to offer their respective targets this summer, but Celtic is the better club for Wilson if he has designs on making it in the Premier League one day.
Any move to Glasgow for the highly-rated Welshman would be a loan but Parkhead, until Gerrard proves otherwise at Rangers, is simply the better launchpad for Wilson.
Patrick Roberts, who spent two and a half seasons with the Hoops on loan, is set to secure a £10 million transfer from Manchester City to Leicester City, according to The Mirror.
Success stories like that simply has to endear Wilson toward a move the Bhoys, whereas the Gers, since returning to the Premiership in 2016, haven’t signed a player on loan who has ultimately gone on to bigger and better things as a result of his stint at Ibrox.
The Record reported this past weekend that the Reds aren’t mad on the idea of letting Brendan Rodgers take Wilson, after Charly Musonda’s failure under him.
But Roberts’s pending move to the 2016 Premier League champions indicates that the Northern Irishman could take Wilson to the next level.
