Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has killed off lingering rumours surrounding a potential summer move to become Leeds United manager.
Postecoglou added another trophy to his record on Sunday afternoon, beating Rangers 2-1 in the Viaplay Cup final.
The Australian continues to impress as Celtic manager and is living up to being called ‘‘magnificent’ by Celtic hero John Hartson.
There are always going to be rumours about managers who win trophies and play very attractive football – that’s just the nature of the game.
Postecoglou is no different and he continues to be linked with a shock move to Leeds United.
Australian reporter Andy Maher told SEN’s The Run Home last week that he has heard Postecoglou will leave Celtic this summer to join Leeds.
The Whites sacked Jesse Marsch earlier this month and whilst Javi Gracia has been appointed, questions remain.
Gracia’s contract has been described by Leeds as ‘flexible’, meaning the door may still be open for Leeds to go in another direction this summer.

If that move is really in Postecoglou’s plans then he is hiding it very well.
Postecoglou has told The Sun that moving on for the first offer he gets just isn’t how he is wired.
The 57-year-old is adamant that he wants to make a mark on every club he manages and he feels that way about Celtic.
Postecoglou talked about the nature of management and that you’re never all that far away from the sack in this day and age.
However, Postecoglou notably stated that everyone will be surprised by just how long he will be staying at Celtic.
That seems to indicate that Postecoglou will be staying at Celtic for a long time yet and all notions of a summer move to Leeds can be put to bed.
“When people say, ‘He’s going to go down the road or somewhere else with the first offer he gets’, it’s not how I’m wired, it’s not how I think,” said Postecoglou. “For me, what it’s about is just trying to leave a mark wherever I am. I have done that with every football club I have been at. I want to do that at this club too and that is all that consumes me. I don’t think about the next step or I need to go somewhere else, or I need to do this or I need to consider other things. It’s all there and you don’t go through life oblivious to it.”
“It’s not even healthy to put the blinkers up and not know what is going on, because that tests your desire to keep doing what you’re doing. Of course, if people are talking about my future, or are interested in my future, I will sit there and listen. It doesn’t mean I’m going to jump at anything that comes my way. I’m really passionate about what I do. The people close to me know what is most important to me, what drives me and what keeps me sort of happy in my role. And I couldn’t be happier.”
“I’m hoping that over the course of time as long as I’m here — and I am still here even though people have been getting me out the door and I think you’ll be surprised how long I am here — I’m consumed by trying to make this club the best it can be. And I’ll enjoy every minute of it. In the world of management, I am too old to be kidded on by anybody. Things change very quickly. How many managers last three years in their roles these days?”
“You have either got to have extraordinary success or in rare circumstances a club sticks by you. Apart from that, everyone doesn’t last that long. I am going into my third year next year and I am going to keep doing what I am doing and not really worry about what other people see. So I’ll tell you what the first thing is and one of you will be the first ones to do it, is say I am not ambitious enough because I am not moving on,” he added.
