The player is said to have had interest from Rodgers at Celtic and Gerrard at Rangers, but it appears he won’t be heading to Parkhead or Ibrox.
Celtic and Rangers look set to miss out on Glen Kamara. According to Teamtalk, the giants from Parkhead and Ibrox are on course to be beaten to the 23-year-old’s signing by Cardiff City.
Kamara has impressed against Celtic and Rangers during his 18 months in the Scottish Premiership, in which he is said to have attracted interest from countless clubs, including those of Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard.
But the former Arsenal kid will reportedly sign a pre-contract deal with Cardiff, who it is claimed could then try to facilitate an immediate, fee-paying transfer once an agreement with the player is reached.
Kamara’s position is one in which Celtic and Rangers both find themselves shorter than they would have liked heading into the New Year.

Celtic are without Eboue Kouassi to a long-term injury, while Rangers saw Ovie Ejaria’s loan spell terminated half a season early this month.
Would Kamara have been a good addition for Celtic / Rangers?
