Here is the latest transfer news regarding Celtic and Glasgow Rangers.
The Sun reports that Rangers are hoping to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino when his contract expires at the Hawthorns at the end of the season.
The Gers would only have to pay £500,000 if Berahino did decide that a switch to Ibrox may be the ideal way to get his career back on track, according to The Sun.
Aberdeen’s Andrew Considine
Rangers’ hopes of landing Aberdeen’s Andrew Considine during the January window appear to have hit a snag as the Aberdeen Evening Express reports that the Dons have no intention of selling the 29-year-old.
Considine is out of contract at the end of the campaign, but the Aberdeen Evening Express suggests that a new deal is on the table.
Brentford’s Jota
One player who will definitely not be moving to Ibrox during this window is Brentford playmaker Jota, who the Daily Record reports had been on Mark Warburton’s radar.
The 25-year-old’s appearance in the Bees’ FA Cup clash at the weekend means that he has played for two clubs this term, and thus cannot play for another for the rest of the season.
Liverpool’s Joe Gomez
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, Celtic have shown an interest in signing Liverpool defender Joe Gomez on loan.
The youngster – who was signed at Anfield by Brendan Rodgers – has just returned following a long-term injury, so perhaps a deal could be on the Hoops’ radar?
Fenerbahce’s Hasan Ali Kaldirim
Turkish outlet Fotomac is reporting that Celtic are plotting a Bosman move for Fenerbahce wide-man Hasan Ali Kaldirim, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The Hoops had been interested in the 27-year-old in the summer, according to the Daily Record.
Finally, former West Ham winger Trevor Sinclair has, perhaps surprisingly, expressed his delight on Twitter to see Celtic holding on to Moussa Dembele amid reports that his old club had seen a £20 million bid rejected (via Daily Mail).
