Here is the latest transfer news involving Celtic and Glasgow Rangers as the January window begins to kick into top gear.

Rangers have sealed a deal to land Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman on loan for the rest of the season, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 20-year-old was previously on Celtic’s radar, The Scottish Sun reports, but now appears set to move to Ibrox.

Another player who appears to be on the verge of joining the Gers is attacking midfielder Jon Toral. ESPN reports that the Arsenal youngster – who is currently on loan at Granada – may end up moving to the Scottish Premiership side on loan until the end of the campaign, and Arsene Wenger has seemingly given the switch his approval.

“He has played games there [for Granada] but at the moment he doesn’t play and personally I think it would be a good transition for him,” he said, as reported by ESPN.

One player who could be on his way out of Ibrox in the near future is Matt Crooks as he confirmed that a loan move may be the best option for him, the Sunday Post reports.

The summer signing has made just three appearances for the club, and suggested that a temporary exit may be beneficial.

“The plan would be to go away, play a lot of football and get back to being the player I was before coming to Rangers from Accrington in the summer,” he said, as reported by the Sunday Post.

Meanwhile, seemingly Celtic bound midfielder Kouassi Eboue has claimed that he would like to emulate Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba during his career, The Scottish Sun reports.

“I want to do what Pogba has in football — and more,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

Kieran Tierney celebrates scoring the first goal for CelticKieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney has admitted that he is flattered to hear his name linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but seemingly suggested that leaving Celtic was not on his radar at the moment, the Daily Record reports.

“Obviously when you are younger some people dream about playing in the Premier League but I dreamt about playing for Celtic . It was always a Celtic strip I wore,” he said, as reported by the Record.

“It’s flattering hearing clubs like Bayern and Chelsea mentioned. They are some of the best teams in the world but if you are a youngster playing first-team games every week for Celtic and doing well, you will get noticed by teams in Europe.”

Finally, the Daily Mail has suggested that Moussa Dembele will not make any attempt to leave Celtic during the January window after the Hoops rejected a £20 million bid from West Ham.
