Four players are nominated at the end of a memorable 12 months for the national team

2020 has been a memorable year for the Scottish national team, and now fans are being asked to pick their Player of the Year.
November’s penalty shootout victory over Serbia ensured the men’s team reached a major tournament for the first time since 1998, sparking wild celebrations and even an unlikely chart hit for Baccara’s disco classic ‘Yes Sir, I Can Boogie’.
David Marshall’s saves were pivotal on the night, and the Derby County keeper is one of four players on the shortlist.
He’s joined by Celtic’s attacking midfielder Ryan Christie, who scored the crucial goal on that night in Serbia.

Alongside those two is Lyndon Dykes. The 25-year-old was born in Australia but qualifies for Scotland on account of his Scottish parents, and made his debut for Steve Clarke’s side against Israel in September’s Nations League encounter at Hampden.
The Queens Park Rangers striker has quickly established himself as a key part of the national side.
Completing the list is Motherwell centre-back Declan Gallagher, who turned in a series of solid defensive performances as Scotland reached Euro 2020.

Voting for the BT Scotland Men’s Player of the Year ends on December 17.
Fans can vote on the SFA website.
