According to The Daily Mail and The Sun, Burnley are eyeing up Chris Wilder to become their new manager if Sean Dyche leaves this summer.
There are fears that Dyche will bring his spell as Clarets boss to an end this summer, with Crystal Palace interested in making him their new boss as a replacement for Roy Hodgson.
Wilder is appealing given that he is now without a club having left his post as Sheffield United boss, leaving his boyhood club after working wonders there.
If this is true, it could be bad news for Celtic and Newcastle United, who have both been heavily linked with Wilder in recent weeks.
Eurosport claim that Wilder is in the frame for the Newcastle job should Mike Ashley finally part ways with Steve Bruce this summer after a dismal season.
Celtic may have a head start as they already have a vacancy following Neil Lennon’s exit, and sister site Sheffield United News recently reported that the Bhoys do want Wilder.

That could be ideal for Wilder as he looks to rebuild his reputation, whilst West Bromwich Albion and Bournemouth are also thought to be interested in him.
It looks like being a real race for Wilder’s services, and if Celtic do want him, they would be wise to use that head start to their advantage, before other clubs can make their move.
