Leicester City could sack Claude Puel after another defeat.

According to The Times, Leicester City have formed a two-man shortlist to replace Claude Puel – and it features Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers and Newcastle’s Rafael Benitez.
Leicester were embarrassed at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening, as they were hammered 4-1 by Crystal Palace in an absolute thrashing.
The Foxes are now as close to the relegation zone than they are to the top eight, and Frenchman Puel has been under pressure for months now.
Some believe that this latest defeat will prove to be his final stand, and The Times report that Leicester already have two names in the frame for the job.
It’s stated that Leicester have just two targets right now; Newcastle boss Benitez and Celtic’s Rodgers, with summer moves more likely than anything imminent.
Benitez is out of contract at Newcastle this summer, so Leicester may feel that they can tempt him away from St James’ Park with a big transfer budget.

Yet having been loyal to Newcastle for nearly three years now and after signing Miguel Almiron for a club-record fee in January, it would almost be a surprise to see Benitez move on now.
Rodgers is on the cusp of a third straight league title at Celtic, and he could even land a third domestic treble in a row too. With European success evading Rodgers though, he may yet fancy a return to England, and Leicester’s interest leaves both Celtic and Newcastle left to sweat over Leicester’s plans.
