Celtic and Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of John McGinn for Aston Villa at the weekend.
McGinn played well for Villa in their opening Premier League game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London on Saturday evening.
The 24-year-old midfielder played well for the Villans and scored the only goal for Dean Smith’s side.
According to WhoScored, the former St. Mirren and Hibernian star took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 85.2%, won one header, and made four tackles, one interception and two clearances.
Both Celtic and Manchester United United have been linked with the Scotland international midfielder in recent times.
According to The Sun, Premier League giants United wanted to sign the midfielder in the summer transfer window, with the Villans demanding as much as £50 million as transfer fee.
According to The Daily Record, Celtic wanted to sign McGinn back in the summer of 2018 before he moved to Villa from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Times to be worth £2.75 million.
