Aston Villa are co-favourites but Celtic are in the mix to sign the West Bromwich Albion striker, according to a popular bookmakers.

Bookmakers Bet Victor have offered odds of 8/1 on Celtic signing Premier League striker Rickie Lambert.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has already signed a striker this summer after luring Moussa Dembele to Glasgow from Fulham, while Leigh Griffiths – who netted 40 times last season – is also at Parkhead.
Rodgers, however, has only signed two players since replacing Ronny Deila – the other being Kolo Toure, whom he previously signed for Liverpool – but is the Northern Irishman weighing up another reunion from his time on Merseyside?

The former Reds manager, who was sacked in October of last year, paid £4 million to bring Lambert to Anfield two years ago, and Bet Victor have priced 43-year-old at 8/1 to re-sign the West Bromwich Albion striker.
The popular bookmakers have Aston Villa – who have previously been linked with the 34-year-old – and Hull City as 3/1 co-favourites for the veteran forward.

Of course, Lambert knows a thing or two about the Championship after netting 25 times in helping Southampton win promotion back in 2012, and Aston Villa could do with a proven goalscorer at this level.
He has had a rough time of it in the top flight since leaving Southampton in 2014, netting just three times in 44 Premier League appearances for Liverpool and West Brom combined.
The former England international is out of contract with West Brom in 2017.
