Chelsea remain keen on Moussa Dembele.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele in action
Moussa Dembele remains on Chelsea’s radar this summer, report the London Evening Standard.
The striker was subject of interest from the Blues in January but Celtic held firm.
The Standard report Dembele is one of three players on Chelsea’s shortlist as they look to add a striker this summer.
The other two are Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku
Celtic won’t want to let Dembele go easily, but he could be the easiest of the trio to buy.
Arsenal have refused to entertain the idea of selling Sanchez to a rival, even with his contract being set to expire next season.
Everton ace Romelu Lukaku is keen on a move to Chelsea, but relations between the London club and Everton are extremely strained after their failed John Stones pursuit in 2015, and The Telegraph report they are the last club they wish to sell the Belgian to.
This could leave Dembele as Chelsea’s most viable option.
The Telegraph reported Celtic demanded £40 million for him in January. Compared to the funds needed to buy Lukaku or Sanchez, it is a cheap price.
