Kieran Tierney has been exceptional for Celtic since bursting onto the scene as an incredibly talented left-back.

Kieran Tierney has handed Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers something of a boost by insisting that he would be willing to try and learn how to be a right-back if it was required of him, the Daily Record reports.
Tierney has quickly established himself as a key man for the Hoops since his emergence into the team, and is arguably already the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership.
But perhaps sensing that he may need to offer more if he wants to remain a key man for years to come, Tierney has suggested that he would be happy to move across to the other side of the back four if necessary.
“Full-back is a position where you can switch sides,” he said, as reported by the Record.

“I played right-back throughout a Nike tournament with Celtic’s Under-15s down in England and we won.
“I don’t mind at all – I just need to start working on my right foot.”

While his rapid emergence from academy prospect to first-team regular would suggest that the 19-year-old would have absolutely no problem adapting to a different role, some supporters may be hesitant about such an idea.
Tierney has been brilliant on the left, and yet, he still has a number of years to get even better. And some fans may perhaps prefer that he sticks to his current flank through fear that trying to add an extra string to his bow – which he is surely more than capable of – hurts his overall development.
