Callum McGregor has told the Scottish Herald that he cannot understand why there is a negative feeling around Celtic.

There is a sense of frustration around Parkhead at the way the season has developed, even though Celtic are on course to win the treble.

And McGregor says that he can’t get his head around why Celtic isn’t a totally joyous place right now.

“There just seems to be a negative aura around it this year,” he said.

“The boys have been playing well, winning games and are in the cup final. If we win that it will be a treble treble, but apparently it’s been a poor season.

“I don’t really know why it’s been negative, but we’ve always tried to prove on the pitch everything is fine, despite the change in manager and everything.”

McGregor has been the star of Celtic’s term, and recently won their Player of the Season award.

The Bhoys look well on course to dominate Scottish football once again, by winning every domestic trophy available.

However, there are concerns around Celtic that they have gone backwards since Brendan Rodgers’ departure.

Celtic have a chance to cast aside some of the doubts around them, as they face Rangers at the weekend.

If Celtic can win at Ibrox on Sunday then the negativity that McGregor has felt is sure to lift, with Bhoys fans guaranteed to be in celebratory mood.
