Celtic manager Ronny Deila will be feeling the pressure tonight after his Bhoys side lost 2-1 to Motherwell in Glasgow this afternoon.
Celtic went in to the game having won their last two league fixtures away at Inverness and St. Johnstone, but they came unstuck at Celtic Park this afternoon.
The Bhoys took the lead after a quiet first half, with Nir Bitton’s deflected shot putting Celtic in front shortly after the half-time interval.
However, Motherwell hit back through a Louis Moult equaliser, and the former Stoke City striker then claimed a shock victory for Mark McGhee’s men by scoring the winner on the stroke of the hour mark.
The defeat means Celtic are just one point clear of Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership, and will no doubt pile the pressure on manager Deila.
After failed campaigns in the Champions League and the Europa League, the Norwegian manager came under intense scrutiny from Celtic fans.
It’s long been thought that Deila can save his job with impressive domestic results, but tonight’s defeat will once again put his position in question.
