Massimo Cellino’s reign at Brescia is just as chaotic as his Leeds spell.

Nicola Salerno certainly knew what he was getting into when he agreed to reunite with Massimo Cellino at Brescia in December.
Salerno worked under Cellino at Leeds United in 2014/15 as sporting director, and was responsible for signing Gaetano Berardi… and countless duds like Grandi Ngoyi and Edgar Cani.
His spell at Leeds ended badly and his latest stint working under Cellino was far briefer.
Salerno also worked with Cellino at Cagliari before his spell with Leeds.

His spell at Brescia did not get off to the best start, with Brescia In Gol reporting in December that Cellino and Salerno were already in dispute, just one week after being reunited.
It does not come as a surprise therefore that he has left so abruptly.
Brescia sit in 15th place in Italy’s Serie B, the same position Leeds hovered around in the Championship during Cellino’s ownership stint.
Already this season Cellino has fired two managers, re-hiring the first one he sacked.
