Kaiser Chiefs member Simon Rix praises Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino for appointing Garry Monk as the head coach.

Kaiser Chiefs member Simon Rix has told EFL.com that he is pleased that Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino appointed Garry Monk as the first-team head coach.
Monk was appointed the Leeds head coach in the summer following the departure of Steve Evans at the end of last season.
Leeds did not start the 2016-17 campaign well, but the West Yorkshire outfit are going strong at the moment.

The Whites are 11th in the Championship table at the moment with 16 points from 11 matches.
The West Yorkshire outfit are just four points behind Birmingham City, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
Rix is a lifelong Leeds fan, and he is pleased to see the Whites doing well at the moment.
The Kaiser Chiefs bassist has also praised Cellino for appointing former Swansea City manager Monk as the Leeds head coach in the summer.

“As for the football, I think he [Monk] could really build something,” Rix told EFL.com. “We were surprised by his appointment but the fans are really behind him.
“He’s a young hungry manager, who is highly regarded in the football world, so it’s actually a tick in Cellino’s [Massimo Cellino – Leeds chairman] box for going out and getting a really good manager in.
“Since the transfer window closed, the side has settled and the results have started to come. We’re playing well and long may it continue.”
Leeds will take on Derby County away from home at the iPro Stadium in the Championship after the international break.
The Whites will head into the match with confidence and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.
