‘I can feel it’: Some Tottenham fans react to interesting Arsenal news

Arsenal were drawn up against Benfica in the Europa League knockout stages on Monday – and it has interested a number of Tottenham supporters.

A certain Jan Vertonghen and Adel Taarabt will lock horns against their former North London rivals.

Spurs fans are hopeful that Vertonghen, who only left their club in the summer, will do his thing and knock Arsenal out of the competition.

If such a situation occurs then there’s no doubt that the Tottenham supporters will make sure that their struggling rivals will know about it.

The knockout ties will take place in February and by then Arsenal may have a new coach given how things are panning out for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table and are in a relegation scrap, as their season has started off in a quite disastrous fashion.

Whilst things are going downhill in the league, it’s a different story in Europe because they are doing bits.

But they haven’t yet faced a team the size nor the strength of Benfica, so it will be interesting to see where Arsenal are in a few months time and how things pan out.

It’s quite clear that Spurs fans want it to go one way and that’s Vertonghen knocking them out and then proceeding to do his old superman celebration.
