After missing out on Champions League football last season, Arsenal are wasting no time in adding players to their squad from the 2022 summer transfer market ahead of the new season.
With Fabio Vieira already through the doors of the Emirates Stadium, it seems as though Arsenal have now added Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus to their ranks.
When Fabrizio Romano posted on Instagram that the deal for the Brazil international was ‘100% done’, the message was liked by Arsenal defender, Cedric Soares.
That’s one Arsenal player that has given his seal of approval to the club’s next incoming transfer, as he would have also been pretty pleased with his fellow countryman arriving.
The Gunners paid Porto £34 million for Vieira’s services, with the coach, Sergio Conceicao, seemingly furious at the deal being able to go through.
Nonetheless, it seems as though Jesus has been snapped up for £45 million, as reported by Romano, which once again indicates that Mikel Arteta is being backed.
Those at the top of Arsenal’s tree have been heavily criticised before, but with the north London club out of Champions League football, their ambitions to get back to the elite can’t be argued with.
It also puts a serious amount of pressure on Arteta for next season, and if he falters, then he might find himself being handed his p45.

JESUS IS A ‘FANTASTIC’ PLAYER
If there were Arsenal fans out there questioning the transfer of Jesus, will they should do no more because Pep Guardiola himself has lauded him as a ‘fantastic’ player.
Arsenal needed a number nine, they have added one to their ranks and a player that can also play across the front three.
Added with that, Jesus is also an upgrade on Eddie Nketiah, who signed a new contract at the club, as well as the recently-departed, Alexandre Lacazette.
It’s now a case of it all being knitted together and working out on the pitch because Jesus’ one-touch style, ability to find space for others and working his magic in little pockets, is something that will work very well in Arteta’s system.
