Goal journalist Charles Watts has said on his YouTube channel that Cedric Soares wants to stay at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Fenerbahce want to sign Cedric from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
However, according to Watts, the 29-year-old Portugal international right-back wants to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place in the team.
Watts said on his YouTube channel: “From my understanding, Cedric Soares is very, very happy at Arsenal. He is determined to make a go of it.
“He has very working really hard in the summer to try and impress Mikel Arteta and force his way into his plans.
“Yes, there is interest from Turkey, from Fenerbahce, but Cedric’s preference is to absolutely stay at Arsenal.”

Sensible stance?
Cedric has had injury problems at Arsenal, but the 29-year-old has done well in pre-season and is a good option to have for manager Arteta.
The problem for the former Southampton star is that Hector Bellerin is ahead of him in the pecking order.

Of course, if Bellerin leaves, then Cedric could become the first-choice right-back at the Gunners.
However, as things stand, the Spaniard is staying at the Emirates Stadium.
Cedric played at left-back last season when Kieran Tierney got injured.
Arsenal have signed Nuno Tavares this summer, and the Portuguese youngster will deputise for Tierney.
This means that the full-back could be a squad player at the Emirates Stadium.
Cedric made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and seven starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Gunners last season.
