The Poland international was a standout player for Hull despite their relegation and would be a great wing option for West Ham United.
Following reports from the Hull Daily Mail that Hull City are willing to listen to offers for Poland international Kamil Grosicki, West Ham United should look to prise away the Tigers’ best winger for the second time in a few months.
Back in January, West Ham signed Robert Snodgrass from Hull for £10.2million, as reported by BBC Sport, and should seek to repeat history by sighing Grosicki ahead of reported interest from Watford and Newcastle United, as claimed by the Hull Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old got three assists in 15 games for a Hull side that was ultimately relegated, and whereas Hull would demand a bigger fee if they were still in the top flight, now they cannot do so and seem happy to recoup the £7million outlay they made in January.
For a player as exciting as Grosicki, this is an absolute steal, and it’s no wonder that Watford – now of course managed by Marco Silva, who signed the Poland international for Hull – and Newcastle are both interested in his services for such a fee.
While West Ham can call upon the services of Snodgrass, Andre Ayew and Michail Antonio down the flanks, to have someone as class as Grosicki in depth would represent a significant improvement in Slavan Bilic’s wide areas, reducing the impact of injuries.
West Ham finished the Premier League season in 11th – just one point behind eighth place – in what was a somewhat turbulent campaign for the Hammers, who at one stage were flirting with relegation a little too much for their fans’ liking.
