The Huesca man had a bit of an on-off affair with Leeds, but it looks like now that the Whites will finally get the deal done.
Saiz had an excellent season with Huesca, in the Spanish Segunda (equivalent of the Championship), scoring 12 goals in 43 appearances as the team from a city with population of around 52,000 made the play-offs, losing to eventual play-off winners Getafe in the semi-finals.

It now seems that the number 10 will move to a club that’s stadium holds around 72% of Huesca’s population at 37,890, as new Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen sets about making his own mark on the team that finished seventh in the Championship last year.
Saiz has had an interesting career to date – representing Real Madrid B, Atletico Madrid B and the Spain U19’s in a playing capacity – and that now seems set to take another interesting turn to the Championship, where his goals will be greatly appreciated.
One of Leeds’ biggest problems last year was that while Chris Wood scored 27 of Leeds’ 61 league goals, the club’s next top scorer was a centre back in Kyle Bartley, who scored an impressive six goals despite his primary focus being to prevent goals being scored.
With someone else banging goals in for Leeds, it takes a lot of pressure off Wood’s shoulders, and would make the side a lot more prepared for a play-off fight, so Whites’ fans will be hoping that Saiz can continue finding the net once his move is completed.
