Chelsea will reportedly allow the forward to depart Stamford Bridge in the summer, and Fulham can act before anyone else.

Fulham have first refusal on Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon according to the Daily Mirror, as reported by the Daily Star, and should take that option regardless of what division the Whites find themselves in next season.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side finished the regular season in sixth position, meaning that they will partake in the Championship play-offs – meeting third placed Reading in a two-legged semi-final, with the first coming at the weekend.

The 23-year-old has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Whites – 29 of which have come in the Championship – and has scored six goals, while also racking up four assists in his loan season at Craven Cottage.

Piazon, a Brazil U23 international, has fitted into Jokanovic’s style of play tremendously, and is unlikely to add to his three appearances for Chelsea having been told he can leave the Blues, as per the Daily Mirror, as reported by the Daily Star.

Given his young age and how he has seamlessly fitted into what Jokanovic is trying to do at Fulham, whatever happens in the play-offs, Piazon should be signed by the Whites – as he will either be an important member of the first team in the Championship, or a very useful back up option in the Premier League.

If Jokanovic’s Fulham navigate their way past Reading over two legs, they will face either Sheffield Wednesday or Huddersfield Town in the play-off final at Wembley, with a spot in the Premier League up for grabs.
