Given the drama surrounding this player for the last two transfer windows, it seems unlikely he will stay beyond this campaign.
While a fair bit may depend on what league Leeds United find themselves in next year, one player the Leeds fans will not be shocked to see depart Elland Road is left-back Charlie Taylor.
The 23-year-old has been excellent for the Whites this season, and but for the insistence of Leeds boss Garry Monk, Taylor would not be at the club for the final stretch of the season.
Leeds rejected a transfer request from Taylor last summer, as well as bids from Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace in January, as reported by The Sun.
Monk was determined to keep his man at Elland Road, despite Taylor being out of contract in the summer, meaning he can leave for nothing, but such is his importance to the side that Monk clearly felt it was a risk worth taking.
What happens next will be very interesting, as given how much faith Monk has in Taylor, if the club were to be promoted to the Premier League via the play-offs there is a chance Taylor could well stay.
If the Whites were to fall short however, then Taylor would probably be the first one out the door, with a host of Premier League teams to choose from.
