The 32-year-old has barely featured at Selhurst Park since arriving last summer.

Crystal Palace are ready to depart with France international goalkeeper Steve Mandanda for between £1.7m and £2.5m less than a year after signing him, as reports France Football.

The 32-year-old has only featured 10 times for the Eagles in all competitions this season, nine of which came in the Premier League, and is said to want to get regular football in order to boost his international hopes.

Despite arriving at Selhurst Park as a marquee signing, for one reason or another, it just hasn’t worked for Mandanda in South East London, so a possible departure at the end of the season won’t come as surprising news to Palace fans.

Now it seems that a move to Marseille – whom Palace signed Mandanda from initially – could well happen in the summer, with it seeming as if all parties involved would be better suited if the 32-year-old returned to his former club.

During his time with Marseille, Mandanda made 441 appearances and won Ligue 1 once, the Coupe de la Ligue on three occasions, and the Trophee des Champions twice, establishing himself as a club legend in the process.

If Mandanda’s move to Marseille goes through, it’s expected to be between €2m-€3m (£1.7m-£2.5m) and would presumably see Palace dip into the market to find a replacement goalkeeper.
