Sean Dyche’s Clarets have been on a shocking run of form recently and have slipped lower and lower in the table.

While it’s hardly an unexpected occurrence to suffer defeat at the hands of Manchester United, as Burnley did at the weekend to a 2-0 scoreline, Sean Dyche’s side are now finding themselves edging closer to the bottom three.
The Clarets have won just two out of their last 11 Premier League encounters, and are now five points clear of a Swansea City side who picked up a valuable 2-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend to give them a fighting chance of survival.
Just above Swansea are Hull City, who defeated Watford 2-0 at the weekend to keep themselves out of the drop zone, and Marco Silva’s side are just three points behind Burnley, although with a much inferior goal difference.
Tellingly, Burnley faced the pair of them in their last 11 matches, and lost 3-2 to Swansea while drawing 1-1 with Hull, and the Clarets have an interesting remaining four games to say the very least.

Dyche’s side face an unenviable trip to a resurgent Crystal Palace in their next fixture, before a home match against a resolute West Bromwich Albion, an away day at Bournemouth, and ending their season at home to West Ham.
Given Burnley’s shambolic away form this season – yet to win having lost 13 of their 17 away trips – it’s highly possible that match against West Ham could be a do or die encounter that determines whether the Clarets remain in the Premier League, or return to the Championship – yet again – at the first attempt.
