Since departing Nottingham Forest for Aston Villa, results haven’t been good for midfielder Henri Lansbury, who is still yet to win with his new club.
The 26-year-old has largely been played out of position in the five games he’s featured in for Steve Bruce’s Villa, though he’s still done enough to warrant praise from his new manager.
However, football works in strange ways, and Lansbury’s Villa have a chance to claim their first win since January 14th, when they host another bang out of form side in Derby County.
The match will not only pit Lansbury against Forest’s main rivals, with the Rams not winning since January 31st, but one-time potential employers, as Derby boss Steve McClaren made no secret of his desires to bring him across the A52 in January.

Villa fans will be hoping he delivers the kind of swashbuckling, dynamic performance from midfield he regularly delivered at The City Ground – while Derby fans will be hoping Lansbury simply doesn’t turn up to haunt them.
