Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are very worried after Arsenal were unable to give a return date for Thomas Partey after the midfielder picked up an injury.

The Ghanaian is sidelined with what Mikel Arteta has described as a ‘significant injury’, and the fact that the Gunners haven’t been able to put a timescale on his return is certainly concerning.

Understandably, some pessimistic Arsenal fans drew comparisons between Partey and Santi Cazorla, as the Spaniard suffered numerous long-term injuries, that were usually treated by the club in the same way as they often remains quiet on his status or on when they expected him back.

Hopefully, Partey’s case isn’t anywhere near as serious as Cazorla’s was, but it has to be said that this lack of communication is rather worrying.

Supporters on Twitter were sent into a frenzy after the update emerged.

One fan was concerned that his season was over, while others stated that this was typical of Arsenal for a new signing to come in and immediately be injured.

We can only hope that Partey’s recovery goes well and he’s back on the pitch sooner rather than later.
