Celtic drew 1-1 with Old Firm rivals Rangers on Sunday afternoon – and Bhoys striker Moussa Dembele has moved to taunt their cross-city rivals.

The Bhoys were on a run of 22 straight league wins heading into Sunday’s game and were chasing another result to keep their unbeaten league season going.

Brendan Rodgers’ men got the goal they were looking for when Stuart Armstrong crashed a left-footed strike beyond Craig Gordon and into the bottom corner of the net before half time, putting Celtic closer to another win over Rangers.

However, the visitors rallied in the second half, and after some late pressure, struck an equaliser when Clint Hill converted from close range after Craig Gordon had parried Emerson Hyndman’s strike.

A late penalty appeal from Celtic was waved away following Hill’s challenge on striker Leigh Griffiths, and the two sides had to settle for a point apiece.

Whilst Celtic fans and players will be a little disappointed to have given away such a late goal, the bigger picture looks great for the Bhoys; they remain unbeaten in the league this season, sit top of the table by 25 points, and now can’t finish below Rangers, given that they’re 33 points ahead of the Gers with just ten games to play.

After the final whistle, Celtic striker Moussa Dembele took to Twitter to hammer home that point, noting that the Bhoys are clear of their biggest rival, attaching a ‘catch me if you can’ image with his message.

Dembele, who endured a frustrating game against Rangers, added that the derby was special, and the Celtic Park atmosphere was ‘exceptional’ – but just one point will have felt a little disappointing to the Frenchman and his team-mates.
