Cassano’s wife mocks Milan with pear picture

Parma striker Antonio Cassano downed former side AC Milan with a brace in a 4-2 victory and the player’s wife celebrated on Twitter.

Antonio Cassono bagged a brace against AC Milan and his wife stirred tensions with a celebratory Twitter post.

Cassano is on commanding form for Parma and making a compelling case for a spot in Italy’s World Cup squad.

The 31-year-old has lost a significant amount of weight in recent months and has attributed that success to a diet recommended by his wife Carolina Marcialis.

In the aftermath of Cassano’s triumph, Marcialis took to Twitter, posting a picture of four pears – one for each of Parma’s goals against Milan – with the line: ‘a good snack’.

Although the tweet received some angry responses from Milan fans, Cassano clearly enjoyed the joke.

“Carolina is doing the diet with me,” the marksman said on Sky Italia. “Pears are good for slimming and fruit is a perfect snack.”
