Casemiro has been speaking about the drive he sees in Manchester United’s training sessions, noting that Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo share a similar intensity.
Since the start of January, there has been a noticeable change in atmosphere around Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim was dismissed following a string of poor results, and Michael Carrick took over as head coach just over three weeks ago.
Now, with Tottenham visiting Old Trafford next in the Premier League, Carrick is looking to extend his perfect start to four wins from four games.
The squad seems to be playing with more freedom under Carrick, and they are currently sitting fourth in the table. That gives them a real shot at securing a Champions League place, something they will be determined to hold onto as the season goes on.
With 14 matches left, the team’s key players must step up to maximize United’s chances of achieving their season goal. The high number of competitive players in the squad, all determined to learn from past mistakes, is a promising sign.
Casemiro sees similarities between Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes

Since taking over, Carrick has made some noticeable adjustments to the squad.
He has moved to a back four and given Mainoo regular starts, but he is still figuring out his preferred starting XI and it will likely keep evolving as the season goes on.
Mainoo had not featured in the Premier League under Amorim this season but has started all three games since Carrick took charge.
The academy graduate is playing well, and Casemiro recently pointed out just how competitive he is during training sessions.
Speaking to JD Sports in a TikTok video, the Brazilian midfielder mentioned Mainoo alongside Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez when asked about competitive players in the squad.
“Bruno is competitive,” he stated.
“And Mainoo, who I think is the same. I love playing in our team.”
This kind of praise should only help the 20-year-old talent as he looks to establish himself as a regular part of Carrick’s plans.
Casemiro also spoke highly of Diogo Dalot’s efforts on the training pitch.
“I think everyone has a good attitude here,” he added.
Kobbie Mainoo adds to strong record for Man Utd in the Premier League
Mainoo has a perfect record with Manchester United this season, with the Red Devils having won all three Premier League matches that he has started.
There is no indication that Carrick plans on making any changes in the middle of the park, with Mainoo already appearing to have established himself as a starter alongside Casemiro.
It is remarkable to think that if Amorim were still at the club, Mainoo could still be waiting for his first start of the league campaign.
