Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino suggested on the Player’s Lounge show on talkSPORT on Friday evening (broadcast from 7pm, September 2, 2016) that Moussa Sissoko will replace Christian Eriksen in the Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup.
Sissoko joined Tottenham from Championship club Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.
According to BBC Sport, the North London outfit had to pay Newcastle a transfer fee of £30 million in order to secure the services of the France international midfielder.
Former Celtic and Aston Villa striker Cascarino believes that the 27-year-old will replace attacking midfielder Eriksen in the Spurs team.
The former Republic of Ireland international, though, has spoken highly of the Denmark international attacking midfielder.

“I hope not, but I have got a feeling he might take Eriksen’s place on the right,” said Cascarino on the Player’s Lounge show on talkSPORT on Friday evening (broadcast from 7pm, September 2, 2016).
“I really like Eriksen as a footballer,” added Cascarino. “I think he is a very clever guy on the ball. He will always get a lot of assists.”

Sissoko is a good midfielder and has proved that he can succeed in the Premier League.
The Frenchman did not have a great season in 2015-16 with Newcastle, but the former Toulouse star played well for France at the 2016 European Championship in the summer.
Tottenham will take on Stoke City away from home at the Bet365 Stadium in the Premier League next weekend.
