Pundit questions roles of three Tottenham Hotspur players.

Pundit Tony Cascarino has criticised the roles of three Tottenham Hotspur players following their performance against Watford.
The pair have been thrust into a partnership due to Toby Alderweireld’s ongoing omission from the team.
Cascarino said: “Sanchez is young and has had a decent season but he has often been caught out because he does not know when to stay or go. Vertonghen looks uncomfortable alongside him.”
He added that he simply does not feel the duo work well together.

Of course comparing anybody Vertonghen plays with to his partnership with Alderweireld will look inferior, as the pair have played together for the best part of a decade, at Ajax, Tottenham, and with Belgium.
Vertonghen and Sanchez played with Alderweireld as part of a three but Spurs have since moved away from that tactical set up.
Cascarino also questioned Mousa Dembele, commenting that he does not offer enough going forward.

He said: “This season the Belgian has not recorded a goal or assist in the Premier League, whereas Fernandinho, in a similar role for Manchester City, has four goals and three assists.”
Dembele has struggled for fitness at times this season and there was been speculation about his future.
Dembele picked up an injury during the game, with Football London reporting the midfielder will be assessed.
Tottenham won the game against Watford 2-0 but looked lackadaisical in doing so.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris finally stepped up to produce his best performance in months to keep a clean sheet, and the Frenchman spared his outfield teammates further criticism with his own staunch display.
