The Owls have missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
Carvalhal during the Owls’ play-off final defeat to Hull City
Carlos Carvalhal is unconcerned by the prospect of losing his top Sheffield Wednesday stars, the Sheffield Star reports.
The Owls head coach led his side to the final of the Championship play-offs on Saturday, where he saw them beaten 1-0 by Hull City.
And the defeat has already sparked rumours that key players could leave Hillsborough this summer, with goalkeeper Keiren Westwood linked to Middlesbrough, Everton, West Brom and Hull by the Daily Mail on Monday.
Wednesday’s Westwood is attracting higher-division interest
But Carvalhal, who has transformed the Yorkshire side with 18 signings in his first 12 months, has shrugged off the impact of losing any of his star performers, and offered reassurance to any worried Wednesday supporters.
“If these kind of things happen, to me it is not a problem because we know we are here to try to bring the best players to Sheffield Wednesday and that’s normal in football,” the Portuguese told the Sheffield Star.
“If you sell one player, you try to bring in another one that is better.”
Another summer of change is expected at Hillsborough, with three players out of contract, four returning from loans and six temporary deals of their own expiring.

Wednesday, who finished sixth this season, are likely to face an even tougher ask next time around, with Newcastle, Norwich and Aston Villa dropping out of the Premier League.
As a result, millionaire Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri is set to shell out once more, in his quest to deliver top-flight football by the club’s sesquicentennial in September 2017.
