Sheffield Wednesday were linked with moves for Derby County pair Tom Ince and Matej Vydra.

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal remained coy when asked about Derby County players Tom Ince and Matej Vydra at Thursday’s press conference, which was broadcast via the Owls’ official Facebook page.
Ince, along with former Derby County teammate Jeff Hendrick, was linked with a move to Hillsborough during the summer (Sheffield Star), while Wednesday are said to have targeted Vydra in 2015 when he was still at Watford player (Mirror).
The Owls had already recruited Lewis McGugan, Daniel Pudil and Fernando Forestieri from the Hornets that transfer window, but Vydra moved to Reading on loan instead before being sold to Derby a year later for a club-record fee.

Both Ince and Vydra are likely to feature against Wednesday at the iPro Stadium on Saturday, with reported Rams target Forestieri set to play for the visitors.
However, when asked to comment on Ince’s talent, Carvalhal refused to be coerced.
“I don’t see Derby as individuals, Derby is a collective,” he said. “All of them they are good players, starting with the goalkeeper and finishing probably in Vydra in attack.”

Of his side’s alleged interest in the Czech, Carvalhal added: “I have interest in my players. My players is the best players.
“I hope that I can recover all of them because I need my all my players ready and this is the most important (thing), not the players in the neighbour’s house.”
Derby finished fifth last season, but currently sit 21st in the Championship having already changed managers twice since then.
In contrast, Wednesday, who finished a place below the Rams but lost to Hull City in the play-off final, have recovered from a slow start and currently occupy fifth position.
