The West Ham United striker has frequently found the net against Arsenal.
West Ham United face Arsenal away tonight in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, and, with his side in the midst of a hectic schedule, David Moyes is likely to make several alterations to his starting lineup.
Provided that he is fully fit, Andy Carroll is one of the players that could come into the side and the striker will be determined to make a major impact given that he is no longer guaranteed a regular starting berth in the Premier League following Moyes’ arrival.
Moyes has settled upon an attacking partnership of Michail Antonio and Marko Arnautovic of late, with the pair dovetailing to excellent effect, but West Ham have several other forward options at their disposal, including Javier Hernandez, Diafra Sakho, Andre Ayew and Carroll.
Carroll has caused problems for Arsenal in the past – he has scored five goals in eleven games against them during his career – with his aerial ability often proving difficult for the Gunners to deal with.
Tonight’s game, then, represents an excellent opportunity for Carroll to send a message to Moyes that he is a player who can be relied upon and can have a major impact for West Ham.
