Manchester United star’s wife was not happy with criticism of Roy Keane.
After a poor performance Michael Carrick was sent out to speak to ITV for a post-match interview, and that should have been the end of a sorry night for the midfielder.
Not so, former United captain and ITV pundit Roy Keane laid into the obviously disappointed Carrick, describing his interview as typifying of the malaise at the Red Devils.
“He was flat. No urgency. Next game, next game. For some of them there won’t be a next game. That’s the reality.”
Keane’s comments certainly upset Carrick’s wife, watching back home – who Tweeted her anger at Keane, before deleting it.
She then explained why she posted the message and deleted it, although as it was screen captured by many, the retraction may be too little too late in terms of damage done.
