Jamie Carragher has suggested that he believes Georginio Wijnaldum will depart Liverpool on Sky Sports, live on Super Sunday.
Wijnaldum’s future at Liverpool has come under serious question, as he still has not penned a new contract.
The Dutchman has played a key role for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and even has worn the captain’s armband at times in the run-in, despite doubts over whether he will be at Anfield next season.
Many Liverpool supporters are still hoping that he will pen a new deal against the odds.
However, when asked if he had any inside information on whether Wijnaldum would stay, Carragher simply said: “The silence is deafening.”
Carragher’s words basically confirm that he is of the belief that Wijnaldum won’t be at Anfield next season.
Liverpool have indeed been quiet over making any public notes saying that Wijnaldum will be staying.

If he does depart, as seems increasingly likely, then it will be a blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Wijnaldum may not be a headline grabber in Liverpool’s side but he remains an important player, who can play in multiple different roles.
And if Wijnaldum does depart Liverpool will surely have to dip into the transfer market to replace him, as he remains such an important player for them.
