Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports that he isn’t fussed that TRIBUS have cut ties with Liverpool because ‘I have got my watch out of it’.
Following the saga surrounding the European Super League, one of Liverpool’s major sponsors, a luxury watch company, stated on Tuesday that they are cutting ties with the club, as posted by the Echo.
Whilst the Liverpool owners felt the anger from their fans because of this proposed and now-collapsed ESL deal, it’s clear that they are getting hit from other directions also.
As Sky host, Kelly Cates, told Carragher about TRIBUS ending their deal with Liverpool, Gary Neville laughed in the background as ex-centre-back issued this brilliant response.
“Is that Tribus, Kelly,” asked Carragher. “I got a watch off them a few weeks ago, so I am alright that they have gone.
“I have got no big deal. I have got my watch out of it.”

Whilst that’s another blow to the Liverpool owners, the potentially ever-lasting damage has already been caused.
And that’s their relationship with the Liverpool supporters.
Carragher has already questioned how John W Henry can walk back into Anfield following his initial plan to fill his pockets with this now-disgraced ESL deal.
Whilst the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal have had frosty relationships with their owners from the get-go, the same cannot be said for Liverpool and FSG…until now.
