Following the Reds’ 3-1 win over Man U, the Liverpool legend says the managers are the key difference between the two teams.

On top of that, Jurgen Klopp’s charges have recorded a superb 3-1 win over their bitter rivals Manchester United, hinting at a switching of sides on the proverbial perch.
The Red Devils are now 19 points behind the Merseyside giants after Sadio Mane’s opener and Xherdan Shaqiri’s double at Anfield rendered Jesse Lingard’s 33rd-minute goal nothing more than a consolation.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher discussed the Reds’ triumph over Jose Mourinho’s side on Sky Sports News, suggesting that the Portuguese coach needs to go.
In addition, the former Reds defender claimed that Liverpool’s squad isn’t that much better than United’s, indicating the difference in quality between the teams is due to the managers.
“Liverpool just have the edge but there isn’t a massive gulf in the quality of players Liverpool have compared to Manchester United. But is Mourinho getting enough out of the players? No, he’s nowhere near,” Carragher said of the United boss.
“He is a top manager but things haven’t quite gone well for him at Manchester United. His cycle as a manager has always been two or three years, he absolutely rips things up in the first 18 months and then he probably wears people out. The only way it will change for United is a change in the hot seat.”
Up next for Liverpool is a Friday night trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend, before hosting Newcastle on Boxing Day, followed by huge clashes at home to Arsenal and away at Manchester City.
