Jamie Carragher was in the Sky Sports studio last night as Liverpool recorded a significant 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Premier League.
There were a number of impressive moments, although the 44-year-old believes Alisson did something people will remember for years.
What’s the story?
Well, in the second half at the Emirates Stadium, Thiago made a huge error as he blindly played a pass back to Alisson.
It was intercepted by Alexandre Lacazette, who teed up Martin Ødegaard for a golden opportunity, but Alisson spared Thiago’s blushes with a fine save.
Interestingly, Carragher believes people will remember the Brazilian’s stop for years if Liverpool end up winning the Premier League title.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “If Liverpool go on to win the title, that would be a save that people remember in years to come. That maybe changed the destiny of the title. I think that will live long in the memory.”
In truth, it was a massive moment.
Arsenal are in fine form, and if Ødegaard’s effort had found the net, it would’ve been very difficult for Liverpool to get three points.
Alisson is a giant for Liverpool

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold tend to grab the headlines at Anfield, although Alisson is just as important.
Liverpool’s No.1 has remarkably kept 16 clean sheets in 27 Premier League appearances this season, while only conceding 18 goals.
The 29-year-old is an imperious figure in between the sticks for Liverpool, and there probably wouldn’t even be a title race without him.

As we saw last season against West Brom, the South American can even pop up with a goal in desperate times!
He may have cost £66.9m, although Alisson is paying back every penny of that sum with some incredible displays for Jürgen Klopp.
