Former player and current pundit Jamie Carragher says Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho would get in any other Premier League side and enhance their ability, the Daily Mail report.

The Brazil international has often been seen as one of the Premier League’s outstanding talents, prompting observers and pundits alike to suggest that he could play for the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona.

But previously Coutinho lacked consistency, especially on the big stage against Liverpool’s so-called title rivals, and there have been question marks over his goalscoring ability for an attack-minded player.

Well, this season he has so far anwered his critics with four goals and a further two assists in eight Premier League matches, and Carragher feels he would now improve any of Liverpool’s title rivals.

“Coutinho has become one of the stars of the Premier League, the driving force behind Liverpool’s impressive early form and the key to them sustaining what could yet become a challenge for the title,” Carragher wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.

”He is playing at such a level that you could put him in the No 10 position of any of Liverpool’s rivals — Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United — and he would fit in seamlessly and enhance their quality.”

Liverpool have started the season in superb form, taking 20 points from their nine matches to date which includes fixtures away at title rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane have all performed superbly in the early stages, yet there is no doubt that Coutinho is seen as the main man on Merseyside.

The 24-year-old former Inter Milan ace has all the attributes to become an Anfield great, and now it is up to him to prove his quality and show the consistency of a world-class talent.
