Jamie Carragher has claimed that Mo Salah was ‘frustrated’ with his performance during Liverpool’s 1-0 win over West Ham United, as he told Saturday Night Football on Sky Sports.

The Sky pundit suggested that Salah wasn’t at his best against the Hammers, before he was substituted by Jurgen Klopp in the second half.

Even though Salah has torn it up against many teams before him this season, West Ham did pretty well to nullify his attacking threat.

But they couldn’t do enough to stop Trent Alexander-Arnold from working his magic from the flanks and supplying Sadio Mane with the only goal of the game.

Nonetheless, this is what Carragher made of Salah’s performance yesterday and his body language during the game.

“If there was one man you would maybe looking to bring off, who has maybe not been at their best, it’s Mo Salah,” said Carragher.

“But his record is that good. Would you want to bring him off in a game like this?

“Sometimes you see Salah in situations like that where he is a little frustrated with his game (snatching at shots from the edge of the box). Maybe didn’t have the impact he would have liked.

“At times he takes shots from areas where he shouldn’t and we have seen a couple of instances of that.”

Klopp opted to keep Diogo Jota on the bench for yesterday’s game, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is brought back for the Inter Milan tie in midweek.

The Reds have a two-goal leading heading into the second-leg Champions League tie at Anfield, and in truth, Klopp could rotate his star forwards.

But given the ammunition Klopp can use during these final few months, they will be disappointed if they don’t add another trophy to their cabinet.

It’s just a case of which one is more likely – the Premier, Champions League or FA Cup? Or perhaps the lot?
