Liverpool hero speaks out.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp praised former stars Luis Suarez and Coutinho ahead of the Reds’ clash with Barcelona.
But one comment has irked former Liverpool ace Jamie Carragher.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Carragher said Klopp was wrong to refer to Suarez and Coutinho as club legends.
He said: “They will not get an especially hostile reception but Klopp made a rare error when he stated they are two ‘Anfield legends’.
“They are not. Liverpool have too many players with titles and European Cup medals in their legends suite to allow entry for those who did not replicate those achievements.
“Where they stand in Liverpool history is because they left without dedicating their peak years to the trophy pursuit.”

In terms of individual statistics, Luis Suarez’s 2013/14 season holds up in Liverpool history as one of the very best.
The sad thing for the Uruguayan, as Carragher points out, is that he had no silverware to show for it and gave up, seeking an exit.
Carragher’s comments highlight what is on the line for Liverpool over the next few weeks.
Will Virgil van Dijk, Mo Salah and co be nearly men again, or will they win one trophy, even two, before the season is out, and write their names in the club’s rich history?
