Jamie Carragher has claimed that he’s ‘not getting in trouble with Everton or Tottenham fans’ after Richarlison’s antics on Sunday, as he told Sky Sports Premier League (29/08/22 at 6:05 pm).
As Tottenham supporters are finding out and as those at Goodison Park already know, Richarlison is a player you just love to have on your team, but hate if he’s on the opposition’s teamsheet.
That was probably the case at the City Ground yesterday when Spurs beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 and Richarlison came off the bench to stir the pot.

At 1-0, he was caught between the legs by his opponent, only to go down very late, which had Carragher in hysterics on commentary.
Tottenham’s big summer signing then assisted Harry Kane for his side’s second goal of the game, moments later, Richarlison was doing keepie uppies during one moment of play, which resulted in the player being taken out by two Forest players.
All in all, the fire is always lit when Richarlison is around, as Carragher reacted to his actions in the Premier League on Sunday.
“I’m not saying anything,” said Carragher. “I am not getting into trouble with the Tottenham fans as well as Everton fans.
“It looked like he had been caught initially between his legs, we know that it can be painful, but it was so long before he went down. Oooh, what am I going to do with him,” laughed Carragher.
On Richarlison showboating by doing kick-ups: “It does wind people up. It’s not right. You can’t just go and boot people (on Forest player’s reactions). You can’t do that.
“But what’s he doing? He has had a real impact since he has come on, taken the game away from Forest and the game has been won. He just winds people up that lad. He winds me up.”

RICHARLISON IS CONTE ON THE FIELD
If Conte could lace up his boots again and play, then he would probably do what Richarlison does on a weekly basis.
He can be that hero for his own fans, but the villain of the piece when it comes to the opposition.
That’s why he will prove to be a top purchase by Spurs because, whilst Kane and Son Heung-min score the goals, he will be winding up players and fans for fun.
Everton fans loved to see that week in and week out from the player, but when Spurs visit Goodison Park this season, you can bet your bottom dollar their feelings towards him will change because Richarlison will still be his old self.
