Jamie Carragher has suggested to Sky Sports that Arsenal target John Stones may well have played his last ever game for Manchester City.
Arsenal were said to be tracking Stones back in March by 90 Minutes, with Mikel Arteta keen to work with the City centre-back again.
Arteta has a good relationship with Stones, and apparently feels he could help to tighten up Arsenal’s backline next term.
Stones has struggled for game time with Pep Guardiola’s side, but was handed the nod to start in City’s most recent game against Bournemouth.
Unfortunately for Stones, his position in City’s team is still very much in doubt.
And Carragher feels that the £50 million centre-back (BBC) may have played his last game for Guardiola’s side, amid Arsenal’s interest.
“I’m not sure he does have a future here,” Carragher said.
“I think Pep Guardiola has played numerous players in his position, even a midfielder in Fernandinho and young Eric Garcia.
“It may actually be the last time we see Stones in a Manchester City shirt. He was brought in for big money and it hasn’t quite happened for him.”

If Stones was to move to Arsenal he would need to quickly reduce the amount of mistakes that he has been making.
Stones remains one of the finest defenders in possession in the Premier League, but the last thing Arsenal need is another error-prone centre-back added to their backline.
