Jamie Carragher has said to Sky Sports that he doesn’t want David Luiz and Mesut Ozil to be at Arsenal next season.
Luiz and Ozil were left out of Arsenal’s starting line-up to face Manchester City last night upon the Premier League restart.
Ozil was omitted from Arsenal’s squad entirely, while Luiz came on to put in an error strewn display in a 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
And Carragher thinks that Mikel Arteta’s team selection decision was the beginning of the end for the experienced Arsenal pair.
“I think that is Arsenal going forward. I wouldn’t want to see them involved next season,” Carragher said.
“I think he is thinking like that with David Luiz. I don’t think he’ll be there and I think Ozil has been a problem for the last few managers, because they can’t get him out because of the wages he’s on.”

Luiz’s contract at Arsenal is due to expire and he is yet to agree new terms with the club.
Luiz gave away a penalty and got sent off last night, with his performance doing little to suggest that he merits a new deal.
Ozil, meanwhile, has underperformed over a number of seasons for Arsenal now.
The German international is the Gunners’ top earner, but his exclusion from their match-day squad last night highlights how far down the pecking order he has slipped.
