Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, that he thinks Liverpool will beat Everton in the Merseyside Derby.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are due to meet Liverpool on Saturday evening, in what looks like a huge clash for both sides.
Liverpool and Everton are both battling it out to make it into the top four this season, and a victory for either side would be huge for their chances.
Both teams were off colour in their last outing, with Liverpool losing to Leicester City and Everton being beaten by Fulham.
But Carragher has backed his old side to come out on top on Saturday, as history is in their favour.
“The biggest derby in British football. The two most successful teams in this country,” Carragher said.
“Can Everton break their duck or can Liverpool get back on track with a win? I’d expect that because of their record in Merseyside derbies.”

Liverpool have indeed dominated the fixture in recent times, with Everton’s last win coming back in 2010.
But Jurgen Klopp’s side have not been at their best this term, with concerns rising about their performances.
Liverpool have now fallen out of the top four, with Klopp conceding that the title race was over last weekend.
