Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports (07/12/20 at 5:55 pm) that Jose Mourinho sent ‘a message’ to Daniel Levy in the stands after Tottenham won the bragging rights in the North London derby.
The 2000 Spurs supporters at the ground certainly had the time of their life over the weekend and Carragher also pointed out how much Mourinho ‘enjoyed it’ once the full-time whistle was blown.
It meant that Spurs moved to the top of the table and are once again sending their own message to all that they mean serious business this season.
Carragher shared his thoughts on what he noticed about Mourinho’s reaction to Sunday’s win against Arsenal.
“He looked like he enjoyed it when the whistle went,” said Carragher. “There was a message for someone in the crowd or maybe Daniel Levy was in the stands.
“Rightly so, they should be enjoying it. I thought it was a typical Mourinho masterclass that we have seen or mentioned so often in his time in England.
“It was another brilliant performance executed in a typical Mourinho way.”

It has been just over a year since Levy made the surprise call to sack Mauricio Pochettino and then replace him with Mourinho.
Both are different characters with differing footballing methods and it was no doubt a massive risk, at the time.
But it’s proving to be yet another masterful decision in the boardroom from Levy, who will be hoping the trophy-laden Portuguese coach can finally end their trophy drought.
