
Some Liverpool fans on social media are far from happy with Gary Neville’s comments on John W Henry’s apology last week.
The Super League fallout is still ongoing, and on his podcast this week, Neville had some choice words for the Liverpool owner
“Who at Liverpool ever sanctioned that J W Henry video going out?” said Neville. “That was an embarrassment.
“You think about it, you drive to Liverpool and you go up to a game and see those fans and you think to yourself ‘who allowed that video to go out’?
“It was an absolute joke. I have to say maybe the clever thing the Glazers have done in the last seven, ten or 15 years is not speak, if that’s how it’s going to come across. Maybe they are more aware.”
As you can imagine, Liverpool fans weren’t best pleased with Neville continuously firing shots at their club.
Now, Reds supporters weren’t jumping to Henry’s defence, but they did point out that Neville has been giving Liverpool a lot of stick, despite the fact there were five other English clubs involved in the Super League.
Jurgen Klopp wasn’t happy with Neville last week, and it seems as though the Anfield faithful have started to see things from their manager’s point of view.
