Jamie Carragher compares Liverpool and Arsenal situations.

Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka reacted furiously to boos from supporters last week at The Emirates.
He was seen to swear at fans as he left the pitch and his long term future at the club is in doubt.
Pundit Jamie Carragher has been reflecting on a Liverpool player he saw booed by Reds fans during his time at Anfield.
He referenced Danny Murphy, and praised the midfielder’s response.
Carragher told The Telegraph: “Liverpool supporters had a similar attitude when I was a player, choosing the favourites who could do no wrong while the same group of players were held accountable for poor performances.
“There was a game against Southampton in January 2002 when Danny Murphy was given identical treatment by the Kop as Xhaka last week – an ironic cheer when subbed. The difference then was that he responded by scoring the winning goal at Manchester United three days later.”
That’s the difference. Murphy did not react negatively, as Granit Xhaka did.
The Arsenal player clearly made an error of judgement, and reacted in a hot-headed way.
He needs to let his on pitch performances do the talking, and if social media abuse is affecting his mindset, come off it.
Supporters booing a player is unhelpful, but it happens. The way Xhaka responded was wrong.
